Although living with a chronic health condition is still regarded as being an exception, and treated as such, it is not.

In fact, it is estimated that globally, one in three adults suffer from multiple (not single) chronic conditions. In the U.S., as in many First-World countries, the number of people who suffer with at least one chronic health condition amounts to up to 45%. A most significant aspect in these statistics is the fact that many chronic mental health conditions are often excluded in these estimations.

To make this real, many millions of people are managing, or not managing, every single day, right now, the symptoms, distresses, limitations, and physical/emotional pain associated with their condition(s).

Possibly, you are one of them, or you are living with and caring for someone with a chronic illness.

The losses, grief, pain, deprivations and lack of emotional support associated with living with a life-long condition often lead to isolation, depression, hopelessness and even substance abuse/addiction.

Yet, that doesn’t have to be the case.
